Payment Discount

  • Payment in advance A discount is only available for full-yearly payment or half-yearly payments in advance from 2011 onwards. The discount rate offered for 2011 is 5% for full-yearly payment and 2.5% for half-yearly payment. Payment of Discounted Fee must be received by Administration by 15th of December, 2010. Details to be announced by Sept, 2010.
  • Sibling discount Second and subsequent children are entitled to receive 5% discount on confirmation by Director after relevant birth certificate have been received. Parents are responsible for forwarding each child's Application Form to Kimmba.

Late/Non-Payment of Fees

  • All fees are due and payable by the first day of each week or the first week of the term.
  • Where fees are not paid in full by the due date, an administration charge of $15 will be charged per day.
  • Where a cheque is dishonoured a fee of $35 will be charged.
  • If fees remain outstanding for 2 weeks, your child’s enrolment will be reviewed and where fees for previous period are unpaid, student may lose placement.
  • Kimmba will take all steps deemed necessary by civil processes or otherwise, to recover unpaid fees and associated costs from the parents or person/s responsible for the account.
  • According to Delivery & Collection of Children policy, Late Collection Fee may be charged if a child is collected late on more than one occasion. The Late Collection Fee is $20 for the first 10 minutes and$5 per 10 minutes thereafter.

Re-enrolment

  • Enrolment is confirmed for one calendar year (1 Jan to 31 Dec). All enrolled families are required to complete a Re-enrolment Form for the following year for each child. Placement for following years is not guaranteed unless a new Enrolment Form is completed.
  • Enrolment Fee of $100 per child is applied every calendar year for 2 continuous years. Thereafter, the re-enrolment fee is exempted.

Absences

  • All planned leave of absences from our centre must be submitted in writing to the Principal or Director of KBELC for approval at least one term in advance for sessional programs and one month in advance for all other programs.
    1. For an approved leave of absence, 30% of the applicable tuition fee will be charged in advance as a holding fee to guarantee re-entry. This is non-refundable and not offset against future tuition fees.
    2. Any student who withdraws and subsequently re-enrols after a leave of absence within the same year must re-apply for enrolment, including submitting a new application form and application fee, with a new date of application allocated.
    3. If an enrolled child does not take up a confirmed place until term 2 or later, the family will be charged the holding fee of 30% of the tuition fee.
    4. For financial arrangements regarding the absence of students, please contact the Principal or Director of KBELC 61-3-9842-8951.
    5. In case of prolonged illness (one school term or more), an application, accompanied by a medical certificate, may be made to the Principal or Director of KBELC for some reimbursement of tuition fees.
    6. Make up classes will not be offered.

Withdrawal of Enrolment

  • If there is any likelihood that your child will not stay in our program for at least two years, we urge you to discuss your circumstances with our Administrator as soon as possible. One full term of written notification is required. This is the standard procedure of withdrawal of enrolment at KBELC.
    • In the case of an Early Learners’ place - $ 195 is payable if a full term of written notification is received before the commencement of the school year.
    • In the case of Kinder place - $350 is payable if a full term of written notification is received before the commencement of the school year.
  • If the required written notice is not given, and your child is withdrawn from any of our programs prematurely (prior to the completion of the minimum of two years) a full term's fees will be charged and the bond forfeited. This is to off-set the financial loss incurred.

Refund Policies

  • Fees are not refundable under any circumstances.

Cancellation of enrolment

  • Kimmba holds the right to cancel an enrolment with four-week-notice if the following situations arise:
    • Non-payment of Fees
    • Failure to adhere to the regulation required by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Services and/other Compliance legislation.
    • Any compromise in the safety and well-being of any child in the Centre
    • Contravention of the philosophy and/or the educational programme of Kimmba
    • Non-compliance with the Terms and Conditions of Kimmba
    • Failure to provide and maintain required enrolment information.

Transfer Between Kinder Groups

  • The opportunity for children enrolled in our Kinder program to transfer from Sessional to Full Kinder Program is very limited. Prior written notification from parents, outlining the reasons for such a transfer, is required by management. Your child will only be allocated an alternate place upon availability. KBELC does not guarantee children places for transfer between Sessional /Full Kinder Program.

Privacy collection notice

  • All information collected on this form will be used and stored in accordance with KBELC’s Privacy Policy and The Privacy Act. A copy of KBELC’s policy can be obtained from the Admissions Office or our website: www.kimmba.com.au.

Participants’ behaviour management policy

  • Children are expected to act in a considerate and responsible manner. KBELC at the sole discretion of the Principal, or Director reserves the right to exclude any children permanently or temporarily from KBELC if their actions are not in the best interests of themself or others in the centre.
