Children participating in this group would have developed their second language skill throughout their early years. However, we do have some children attending our primary program without any prior Mandarin skills. In our primary classes, we help your children go on to the next step of language learning without pain.
Many traditional after-school programs focus on ROTE learning and other old-fashioned methods of language learning, and having over 30 children in a big classroom certainly does not help our little learners. Children at Kimmba learn through play. With our structured fun and engaging programs, we have had excellent results in teaching Mandarin to young children.
We offer two primary classes weekly, ie. 2 x 2-hours sessions; making a total of 4 hours of Mandarin learning per week, which differs to the traditional weekend school of 3 hours. In the writing class, children spend time learning how to write Chinese characters. Learning to write Chinese is not easy, so children get a lot of practice at it to ensure they become skilled writers. It is not compulsory to attend both classes each week, however, it is of great benefit to your child to maximize their Mandarin learning opportunities from a young age.
Our conversation class is aimed at making speaking Mandarin an easy task. We all know that the speaking and writing of any language comes from different parts of our brain, therefore we focus only on speaking Mandarin in these classes. The philosophy behind the design of this course is to stimulate the children’s brains in innovative ways.

The annual enrolment fee is payable for each of the first two years of consecutive enrolment but is exempt for a 3rd consecutive year should your child/ren continue their language learning with us.

Trial Classes
We offer up to 3 trial classes for new students. When you attend trial classes, the total fee applicable the trial period is payable on or before the first class. There is NO enrolment fee payable when attending trial classes. However, by the end of the trial period, your child will be officially enrolled if you decide to participate in our program and the fees payable would include the balance of the term’s tuition fee due plus the enrolment fee.
Family discount and children attending more than 1 session per week
There is a 20% discount on tuition fees for second and subsequent children enrolled from the same family OR a 5% discount for each session if your child is taking more than one session per week.
Both discounted fees are calculated at the time of the payment.
For example, if paying per term, after 30th January, children attending 2 kinder classes per week would be paying $270 x 95% x 2 = $513.
Please note that only one of the above discounts is applicable per child.
Please contact the enrolment officer for confirmation of fees or for further assistance.
Waiting List Registration Fee
To register your child/ren on our waiting list for any classes: baby, toddler or kinder class, there is a transferable fee payable of $50.00. This fee will be transferred as your 1st enrolment fee when a placement is confirmed for you. This may not occur within the same year as your registration year but we will try our best to have you attending our program as soon as we practically can.
We thank you for your patience and understanding of our enrolment policy.
